I drew the horde symbol on a piece of card board and then cut it out with a knife.
Here, I sprayed the symbol onto pieces of red linen that I cut/ripped jagged on the bottom.
Using my hands and a lot of black paint, I scrunched up each banner to give them a weathered appearance. (this was a lengthy and messy process. but satisfying. )
The guard cat watches as the banners dry.
Using pieces of driftwood, I attached the tops o the banners to it using packaging twine. I made several bone-like trinkets out of sculpey and attached them to either side. I also weathered up some faux-feathers and stips of red fabric and hung them next to the banners.
